About HK Journal

Market literacy is practical infrastructure.

HK Journal combines an editorial publication with a small research studio. We make market systems legible enough to question, compare and use responsibly.

01 / Mission

Explain the system, respect the reader

Markets concentrate information but do not remove uncertainty. Our editorial mission is to show how exchanges, securities and price histories are constructed so a reader can see both their usefulness and their limits.

The studio extends that mission into practical research. We help people organise a question and its evidence without claiming a licence, privileged access or guaranteed outcome that we do not have.

02 / Method

Work from source to mechanism

We begin with the decision, identify the market channel and preserve the source definition. A chart is read beside its period, venue, policy regime and participant structure rather than as a self-explanatory picture.

We distinguish a documented observation, a plausible mechanism and an unresolved inference. That separation lets readers disagree productively and makes later updates easier when conditions change.

03 / Practice

Test the recommendation’s shape

Before an explanatory output is complete, we ask whether the intended reader can follow its assumptions and whether credible alternatives received equal treatment. We check that uncertainty is visible where it affects the decision.

Our practical standard is usefulness without overreach. We do not substitute general research for personalised investment, legal, accounting or tax advice, and we say when a question needs a regulated professional.
